Went early in the morning and easily got 7000 steps in looking at all of the sculptures. This attraction is totally free and many people take t heir pets. There are a lot of trails you can go down as well for a nice nature hike. If you are into mushrooms and moss, there are a great many varieties here.... 更多
Plenty of parking. Paved path that winds around Small to Gigantic Sculptures. There are also "off-road" dirt trails for more adventurous walks/hikes. I don't often agree with what passes as art, and most of the sculptures here did leave me scratching my head. But, I did like that many of them have descriptions as to what was going through the... 更多
Combining two of my favorites--hiking in the woods and art--Laumeier has been a favorite of mine for decades. I took my children frequently when they were young, and now I go to walk my dog. There is always something new that captures my imagination. The sculpture is modern and designed or chosen by the artists with the particular landscape in... 更多
While we went on a hot day, which was our own fault, the kids love seeing the sculptures out in the open area of the park. But, that isn't the best part. Walking through the trails to find all of the hidden sculptures, art work, history, and beauty of the creeks, and woods is beautiful and my favorite part. The... 更多
There is nothing much to see or do here. There are a few sculptures. All you can do here is take your family along with kids and pets for an outing. You can sit and relax for an hour or so. Do not expect much.
The day before we visited the park we had gone to Forest Park to visit the St. Louis Museum of Art. The park was so crowded that I payed for parking in the museum's lot. What a relief to take our dog on a peaceful stroll looking at great contemporary sculpture. The park is free and the grounds are lovely.... 更多
It was hot and humid and my husband didn't want to do the extra walk involved to find some of the art work. He looked at those near the parking lot and then sat in the car. I went to the others by myself. There are a lot of grassy areas with nothing on them. We have been to others... 更多
There is a lot of sculptures to see at the park. I would plan on spending at least 2 hours. There are quite a few areas to sit and relax and to have a picnic lunch. Make sure up go on the nature trails so that you see all it all!
