Went to the Sunday Morning markets that open at 8.30am, located near the Information Centre. A lovely selection of locally made products, fresh food, locally blended coffee, jewellery, photos, beauty products, pine woodwork and other nicnaks. A must visit for visitors to the island. We bought some beautiful prints, cookies, perfume and had the best coffee from mobile coffee van.... 更多
These markets will suit the tourist. Lots of little things to buy to take home. Try a homemade cake, slice or muffin. They are all good. lovely pottery and jewellery at a good price. On every Sunday in all weather. you will see Trent Christian singing there too.
This review probably isn't complete as the Saturday markets on our trip was nearly non existent. There had been bad weather and there was a shortage of fresh fruit and vegetables on the Island. The Sunday market was much bigger with a range of wares. Quite a lot of jewelry for those so interested. I found many of the stores... 更多
This lovely little market occurs rain, hail or shine - exactly as it states on the sign. The market starts early in the morning and goes until 11am although it is recommended that you get there by at least 10 am to have enough time to browse before stalls start to close. They sell everything from cakes, chocolates, fruit and... 更多
Just back from our second visit to Norfolk Island. Again, visiting both Saturday and Sunday markets are really a must for anyone self-catering. Unfortunately we fly in on a Saturday afternoon so miss the Saturday Growers Market but did check it out before we flew home at the end of our trip - much smaller market but choice of two... 更多
For a small market, it has lots on offer. Oh, did I mention the fresh almond croissants? Trent was there singing away, what a fabulous voice. Get there early to get the best local produce.
Locally grown produce with outstanding taste. Fruit that not only looks good but delivers true flavour, unlike the 'supermarket' variety you get on the mainland. Saturday for local produce and fresh fish, Sunday market for home made wares, craft, jewelry, cakes, chocolate, all served up by the nicest people. LOVE Norfolk Island and it's people.
don't do your souvenir shopping until you have visited the markets. Lots of cute handmade bric brac and nick nacks. Also a great place to taste the local coffee and buy some local produce.
