I've seen other Wright houses and love this one -- from the built-in furniture to the magnificent view from the living room windows to the funky and difficult bedrooms. A real gem, lovingly restored. A do not miss!
Love the evening, love the house, the docents who work there. It was a wonderful evening viewing the home in a small group setting (10 people). The docents were knowledgeable and you could feel they had a love of the house too. We arrived and they had appetizers and drinks for us. We talked about Frank Lloyd Wright and where... 更多
First seen in Missouri Life magazine (MissouriLife.com), we scheduled a visit for our daughter's Junior Scout (4th & 5th graders) to visit. Growing up we visited Frank Lloyd Wright's Taleisin, in Wisconsin. I found it interesting but was truly ready to depart well before that tour ended. Quite the opposite here. The tour guide was informational and interesting. The history... 更多
We had a guide that made reservations several weeks in advance. The cost is $10.00 per person and you must be on time. The tour took well over an hour and was perhaps too long. The docent only allows 10 people. I saw 8 people turned away, seems to me that that is lost money as they were willing to wait but I... 更多
Excellent tour. I was so excited when this home was opened to the public. I've been to Taliesen and Taliesen West, plus about 6 other Wright creations. This was lovely and has the original furniture. My biggest treat was meeting the owner of the Kraus home on an architectural tour of St Louis. He talked about meeting FLW on so... 更多
Really enjoyed our approximately hour and a half tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park, also known as the Kraus House. The guide was so knowledgeable ; lots of little interesting details about this house from the latter period of Wright's career. Beautiful grounds. Perhaps not as imposing as some of the other Wright homes open to... 更多
The house sits on a hill surrounded by Aspen trees. The design of the house is based on a trapezoid and as such is quite intriguing. The original furniture and finishings are in great shape and the view from the living room is magical. This is well worth a visit at any time of year.
I visited Frank Lloyd Wright's home in Wisconsin, Taliesen, many years ago. I liked it, but the tour was a bit young for my younger attention span. I liked what I saw but left a bit under-impressed. As our son and daughter have shown much love of drawing, buildings and more, and after learning about the Krause House from MissouriLife... 更多
Before this trip to St. Louis to see the Arch and the Frank Lloyd Wright house I knew very little about the FLW style of architecture. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the house which was given by a very knowledgeable guide. This house is special because the original owners never sold it and any changes they... 更多
