You know, it's a science center, they are pretty much the same all over the country. Most of the stuff works, some doesn't. My grandkids love the water table and the science lab. My wife (a geographer) loves the sand table - make contour lines based on elevation. I love the building. We have been members since we moved to... 更多
We had an amazing visit. I loved all of the hands on activities for the kids to learn about real world situations such as energy and motion, water scarcity, force (levers / pulleys). The science geek in me wished I had been given the opportunity to visit a place like this when I was a kid. I wished I had... 更多
Lovely space in a rehabbed Union Station. Nice train exhibit, can climb on a caboose and into a locomotive. Model train and looping old train cartoons (Porky PIg, Woody Woodpecker, etc.) - fun! Most of the rest of the exhibits are not particularly engaging and not well explained. A mystery hotel, dinosaur area, small water table (no aprons), DNA exhibit,... 更多
Great activity for kids (mine are 10 and 9). Many things to do, multi-level, liked that I could go higher and see where my spread out family was. From engineering, to reptiles to hotel of illusions and way more, its an easy and comfortable way to spend the day with a family
So much to do, it was hard to get through it all in one day. Can't wait to take the kids back so we, I mean they can play. It was the perfect mix of learning and play. I even felt like a kid again. We had the best time learning and playing together.
My family visited here over the weekend and I wasn't really sure what to expect but we had a great time. My daughter loved it and I even found that my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. There is certainly something for everyone. I think it is a bit overpriced for what you get...but, overall it was a good time.
Our entire experience was wonderful---although parking is a bit confusing---and we will definitely be back to explore more during our next stay near KC. There were a multitude of things to build, explore and try out. Our daughter especially loved the spin seats, which look simple compared to other features but were a blast to experiment with.
As a parent I had the most fun at this place for our sons birthday weekend in Kansas City. There is plenty to do for both kids and parents. There are some exhibits you just take in but most of the place is you interacting with the exhibits. Our son really enjoyed the water table and nature area here. Definitely... 更多
