We stopped here because I wanted to see the door shot up when Bonnie and Clyde were stopped, but there was so much more to the museum than that. (Some exhibits we didn't understand - cookie cutter area? or the circus room?) For $5, we spent 1-2 hours exploring the rocks/minerals side of the museum and the local history portion.... 更多
great source of info regarding area and history- esp. mining era, desk help was more than receptive- museum has thousands of photos filed and one can access possible family/friends pics by name, adress to look at and keep!
Diverse assortment of museums. Cookie cutter museum is the only one like it I've seen. Some good description of Joplin's history that helped understand a city we were just driving thru. Worth a quick stop,
Is a good little museum of Joplin facts, nice circus miniatures. Once or twice a year they have a train exibit too, check the website for dates & times.
The Museum is small but has some very interesting items in and tells small but good history about Joplin in a compact space. The admission is free. Worth the stop
Nice displays of the local mining (lead and zinc) with many rock samples. Some machinery inside and on display outside.
