It was a little rainy out but this place was suggested to by a local and we found it boooooring as HECK! No geese or ducks and no vendors and no other people.
the walking biking trial on this lake is just so so. the goose grease is plentiful and messy. I do not hlike having to walk across the bridge on the busy street.
My boyfriend and I walked around to enjoy some time out after dinner, it was beautiful. The swings around the lake were a nice touch. Rode my bike along the river to Silver Lake on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It is a very pretty area with bike, kayak and other small boat rentals. It has a nice picnic area as well/ Lots of geese to keep you company!
Many people, walk, ride and rollerblade around this lake, but everyone is very courteous and friendly. The length of the walking trail allows it not to feel crowded. A very enjoyable walk.
I was visiting a friend and we went for a bike trail around Rochester downtown from the Silver lake park to the Mayowood Historical Mansion. I come from Duluth, Minnesota which is located on Lake Superior - the largest of the 5 Great Lakes - so Silver Lake is almost small enough in comparison to be considered a large pond. It was a good place to go, however, during a long stay in Rochester (for medical reasons) in order to get in a good walk.... 更多
