My father worked for Red Wing Shoe Company for 37 years. The factory has been an important industry to Red Wing, having store locations throughout the U.S. The museum is an interesting place to view their history and products. The store offers a good selection of Red Wing shoes and boots, many offered at sale prices. If in Red Wing... 更多
The Red Wing Shoe Store and Museum was smaller than I expected, but the giant shoe was pretty awesome. Be sure to checkout the discount area in the basement, but don't expect it to be a bargain.
The world's largest boot. What more need I say? The store is beautiful - looks like a high end Manhattan joint, but staffed by charming ladies who can't help but be friendly. If you're in the area, well worth a visit.
1F: Shoes - two story of height. Red wing leather products store. 2F: Museum - Leather shoes manufacturing process display is interesting and easy to understand. B1F: Factory outlet store.
This store has a small museum devoted to the Red Wing boot factory. If you own the boots or are a history buff this 15 minute side trip is fun. It is free to the public. The discount area is hit or miss depending on what is avaible at the time. I came out with a pair of $10.00 steel... 更多
The museum of the history of the shoes and how they make the shoes was interesting. The outlet section of the store we a great place to get a good deal on boots. I had no intention on getting boots when I went there but I could not pass up the deal. The world 's biggest leather boot was awesome... 更多
Thanks to my wife I really like Redwing boots. I never had them until I married her. She is a big believer of taking care of your feet. So ever since we have been together I have worn Redwing boots. I own four pairs. A very good boot and they wear very well. So we decided to drive down to... 更多
If you are into history, and Americana, this place is right up your alley. You are informed of the company's history thru an A/V story, walking past examples of their product made throughout their exisitance, and you can feel the leather of one HUGE boot!! All-in-all, a great way to spend as much time as you want/need to get to... 更多
We went to the museum as it was one of the few places open on a Monday in Red Wing. Friendly staff, prices too high for my budget but looked like quality footwear. Museum was not very interesting unless you're into leather works. Would not return.
Neat store; very well-done and the basement has a huge clearance section. On the second floor- handicap accessible- there is a history of the Red Wing Company that is very interesting.
