I had few hours only to see Minneapolis therefore I decided to visit Foshay Tower. It offers nice view over the city and some skyscrapers for good price. On the street there are typical moveable hotdog/fast food stands which I knew only from television and didnt see them in other cities in US (which I visited already).
We visited the Foshay Towers with someone who has special needs. Right from the start the manager Matthew VandenBerg was very pleasant and accommodating. Even though our visit caused extra work on the parts of the Foshay Staff they were all very courteous and helpful. We would not have been able to see the top had it not been for... 更多
My boyfriend and I wanted a nice view in the museum last friday 11th sept and tried to go up to the museum for the view, only to be told that the museum was undergoing renovations. They didn't even bother to put a warning on their website or on the digital screens inside the tower advertising the museum. Our trip... 更多
If you are ever in Minneapolis it's a great idea to stop by "The W" at Foshay. For a $8 you can ride to the 30th floor and experience the observation tower and Foshay museum. From that vantage point you can see the various high rise buildings up close and personal. The architecture there is very artistic and impressive. The... 更多
My husband and I went up to the observation deck the night of our anniversary. It's a great place to see a 360 degree view of the city. It's not the tallest building in Minneapolis which makes it that much more fun to look out, in my opinion. Love art deco? This is a must-see icon when visiting or acting... 更多
Before you go there, read the story of Mr. Foshay and his tower on wikipedia, it's a fascinating read. The entire building is art deco, and I definitely recommend a drink on the top level bar "Prohibition".
An icon in Minneapolis this used to be the tallest building in the Midwest. It's now dwarfed by the buildings around it. It's well preserved and an interesting place to go especially if you like to learn city/state history.
We had some time to kill and since we got to go up for free since we were staying at the hotel, we decided to make a trip up the 30 floors to the top. Cool old elevator. EXCELLENT binoculars for viewing. I bet a could read the facial expressions of people at TArget Field (if they were people there).... 更多
With its deco stylings and slightly checkered past, the Foshay Tower is a bit of an anomaly amid the glassy modernity of most of the Minneapolis skyline. And the oh-so-hip W Hotels approach to the lobby is a bit out of place. But this is still a very cool attraction; paying to go up to the observation deck isn't a... 更多
I Visited this site to learn the history of building and Minneapolis. NO Tour Guide. Just follow the displays and such. Afterwards go out on the balcony. The view is awesome. In these years the Foshay Tower is the Shadow of the IDS building
