We went to the swimming pool yesterday and it was great. Only costs $4 per person and you can bring in your own cooler. There was plenty of room on the beach and if we would have gotten there earlier could have staked out a giant umbrella for a little shade.
I've been to roughly 2 dozen parks in the Twin Cities with my grandchildren and this is our favorite. There is something for everyone including picnic tables, a beach, tons of innovative playground equipment rarely seen elsewhere and plenty of parking.
We use It for the park and swim pond and love both!! It has the most amazingly huge park that kids of all ages enjoy. They have many different pieces of play equipment or they can dig for "bones." I usually play a round of disc golf at the course they have. 18 holes, lots of walking, but super fun. I only recommend the beach if you're going with kids or young adults.
My son and I had an awesome day here and the playground is wonderful! We enjoyed our walk through the trails and we can't wait to visit this summer when we can plan a picnic and day at the beach!
The dog park is located on the northeast corner of the regular park. It us off Zachary. There is a daily fee, or you can by a year pass to all of the 3 Rivers Parks.
