Take the time and explore this great boat. We had a great docent who took us through the whole boat and explained the operations and daily living. What a kitchen! What lodgings - cozy is the right word. It is well worth it to see how these folks live.
There was a lot about ore ships that I did not know about, and this tour was very informational! Our tour guide was an older gentleman and he was great. You get to see a lot of the ship.. How things were ran back then, how they lived, etc. I'd recommend giving it a shot and taking a tour, but... 更多
If you are fascinated by scary tours this is the place to go. Took the tour today with my husband. I was screaming within the first minute of this tour. Death grip on the husband the rest of the time. Who ever is responsible for putting all this together did a fabulous job and I will NEVER do this tour... 更多
We visited the SS William A Irvin during the month of July. We had an excellent tour guide showing and explaining every compartment. The captain's quarters were extremely plush for its guests on board. I've been on similar large ships but am always impressed with their largeness. Docked in the harbor we had an excellent view of Superior Lake. This... 更多
We brought a couple teenage boys to the haunted ship at this location. Obviously it's seasonal. After we got thru first part of the ship, we were unsatisfied. After going thru the back of the ship, we had a great time. We were spooked and enjoyed the day trip to check out the haunted ship.
Went on board the SS William an Irvin 650 Ft. USS (steel) Lake oar freighter (built in 1938). Surprise to us it is also $5 Thursday for this attraction also. The freighter is in very good condition after being retired in 1968. She stood idle for ten years, where it was saved from the scrap yards and turned into this... 更多
We enjoyed the tour. We had a 9 and 7 year old with and they really liked it. There is lots of stair climbing so please be aware. The best part was our tour guide Bill. He was very informative with just the right amount of humor! It was the perfect way to start our North Shore Vacation.
We were in Duluth for a wedding Labor Day weekend and found ourselves with some free time. Since my husband and 11-year-old son are history buffs, we decided to take the tour. Our tour guide, Davin, was outstanding. Just the right mix of humor and anecdotes sprinkled in with a whole lot of history. Our kids loved every second. The... 更多
