We climbed this lighthouse with a 3 year old and 7 year old. You can climb to the top but you can not go outside. This is also a museum and contains some interesting maritime items. There is a boardwalk that you can take a stroll on also.

Nice drive along the south shore of White Lake to get to the light house. The light house is a small museum where you can go up the spiral staircase to the top for a more expansive view of the area. There is also a nice beach area a short walk from the light house.

An interesting bit of history on the Great Lakes. The Lighthouse sits at the edge of the channel where the White River runs into White Lake and then into Lake Michigan.
