While on the small side for historical villages, it's nicely done and the staff, though minimal, was great. The tour is pretty much self guided. Photography is allowed and with not many folks there, it's easy to get good pictures. With the weather being pleasant, it was a nice place to spend a couple morning hours.
If you are anywhere near the Troy area, be sure to visit this one of a kind village that also plays such a vital role in modern community creating, especially their monthly Constitution Cafe
The Troy Museum and village is like a mini Greenfield village. There are roughly 10 buildings to walk through. They run evens through the year. The church has beautiful stain glass and is amazing if you are looking for a unique place to get married. My daughters wedding was held here in October and it was just beautiful!
Extremely rude staff; rushed through the museum in order to see a bunch of outside buildings. So-called staff members standing around and gossiping and not explaining anything about the buildings. Great place to take the kids to walk around and learn about life in the pioneer times. The village is very hands-on with activities for the kids and lots of things to see and do. Parents can learn a lot as well.

A historic wooden horse welcomes visitors at the entrance to the park. The actual horse from the movie "Troy" is on display at the park in the center of Canakkale.... 更多
This is a small, charming historical village with buildings that depict segments of local history. Buildings and grounds are well kept. There are few interpreters, so tour are basically self-led. There are also several special events which are worthwhile to seek out if in the area. This is a great venue for small children too--it is educational without being overwhelming.... 更多
Though the tour is largely self-guided, you might run into staff on the grounds and, of course, in the main building. They'll be happy to answer questions about the buildings and their uses. For example, the one-room school was, unbelievably, in service until the 1970s. They can relate more history of the building including what uses they had for it... 更多
