We have come here often with children, and without. The interpretation and activities are well planned. Here you get to experience a historic Native long house, excellent walking trails for all levels of fitness, the views are spectacular. You can be very active or quiet and serene. There are snacks, clean washrooms, benches etc. etc. This is a must see... 更多
Crawford Lake Conservation Area is full of Autumn magic! I have been a few times - once in the Springtime, and 3x over the last few Summers. The leaves were just bursting (and falling) with an incredible palate of colours. The Lake was as still as a mirror, and the weather, perfectly in tune with Autumn! Now I can hardly... 更多
I have walked this park many times year round and its always enjoyable. The boardwalk around the lake & the pathway to the lookout over the canyon are highlights. Check out the amazing wood carvings along the trails. The Mohawk Indian village is a must see with longhouses, artifacts and more. If you're into more challenging hikes, you can start... 更多
It's nicely boarded, and a safe walk. An over look of the lake and the trees look very nice! I took lots of photos and a few videos. Good for families, teens, and couples
It is a very good and well maintained spot. Said to be a very deep but very small lake. So deep that any organic matter that falls into it doesn't decay apparently. A green leaf falling into it will remain green for decades to come. A unique place.
Wonderful experience for any age to walk the boardwalk around the lake and enjoy all of the carvings along the way. For the mature hikers the lookout walk is great with lots of adventure negotiating the rocky section of the route. The longhouses in the village are very well represented and great for any age to learn a little history... 更多
Recently visited Crawford Lake Conservation Area and combined some of the trails to get in a good 5 hours of hiking or so. We did the Nassagaweya trail to Rattlesnake point and back. When we arrived at the junction where that trail intersects with the Escarpment trail, we switched over to the Escarpment trail and did about 80% of that... 更多
We hiked here (2 hours) from rattlesnake point along the orange trail. We stopped here and had a picnic at the lake and then walked around the boardwalk and explored the native village. I'd definitely recommend this as a day trip!
