Not sure why the Old Presque Lighthouse isn't listed but it was a beautiful stop. Much more scenic than the New Presque Lighthouse. There was an event at the New Presque Lighthouse location so we didn't stay long.
My wife and I enjoy lighthouse hunting and viewing. Most all are interesting in their own way. This one is no exception. The history and artifacts at most lights are enough to take up half a day. This one is among the more interesting . If you like history and a peek into the past stop here.
This lighthouse offers great views of Lake Huron. The grounds are kept up very nicely and it was just a relaxing stop. We spent a little time down along the coast before heading out on our way.
It's best to see the old lighthouse before heading over to the new one. Both had keepers' houses open for touring and charged a small fee to climb to the top, which we didn't do. Interesting look back in time.
My second visit to this lighthouse and still just as impressive as the first time. The views are unbelievable and we walked along the rocky coastline just north of the lighthouse. Pretty area. The museum is nice to walk through and if you are visiting both the old and new lighthouse then save $ by buying the combo admission ticket.
Loved seeing this quaint area on Lake Huron. The lighthouses are interesting and the guides know the history of this area.
Beautiful views of the light house and then around the corner is the lake view from several different views. The light house is well maintained and the light is on in the light room. Highly recommend if you are into light houses and good for children.
