Took a couple of friends from Thailand to the gardens. We had a fun time wandering around and taking pictures. I think our favorite place was the trains area. We spent a lot of time laughing and doing fun videos. I can't remember what the building was called but there was a place to go in and sit and observe... 更多
A peaceful great out of the way botanical garden. Very nice trails following a creek, by a picturesque pond, the river, and several gardens. Normally I do not get excited by nature center buildings filled with various stuffed animals, so I sat outside people watching while my wife, and granddaughter went in. They seemed to be in there forever and... 更多
We went there, as we do every year, and it is just as peaceful as ever. They add a few new things here and there so nothing is always the same. This time we were there in May and saw the spring blooming plants which were so colorful. I love the fact that a good part of it is under... 更多
This is the place I go to each time I visit family in Michigan. Fernwood has beautiful & different gardens and many special events and workshops. Don't miss the railway garden once it reopens this May.
If I lived near here and wanted to have a wedding this would be top on my list. The place is like a fairy tale and just a nice place to visit. I had a wonderful day!

I decided I needed a walk this past Sunday so I grabbed my camera and drove up to Fernwood. $8 for a 2+ hour walk through beautiful woods, little forest creeks, ponds and along the river is an absolute bargin. I took about 500 pictures total. It was a perfect afternoon. Great place for a walk.
Fernwood has a lot To see and do. There are hands on events for children and nature exhibits to see. Birdwatching is always fun and Fall is in the air. Nature trails, walking paths and ponds to observe are always enjoyable and relaxing. Meditate in the Gazebo or bring a book to read. In the winter Fernwood evolves in tracks... 更多
