This art museum is a treasure. There is great art, ever-changing exhibits well worth seeing. Very welcoming, docents are friendly and knowledgeable. The upcoming Curtis exhibit is a must.
Thank you for your positive review and recommendation, Nancy. We're very happy you enjoyed your visit! 更多
This museum has an amazing collection for a small museum. I wish we were here during the upcoming exhibit of Edward S. Curtis: The North American Indian in May, 2017. We were impressed with the helpfulness of the museum staff and their knowledge. While we visited, a contemporary quilt exhibit was on display and was magnificent. If you enjoy art,... 更多
An amazing collection in a beautiful building and setting for a town the size of Muskegon! Exhibits and special events are well organized and geared to a variety of interests changing frequently throughout the year. Gift shop also has an unusual selection of items that would provide an out of the ordinary mememto. Definitely worth a visit.
A decent museum....nothing world class but interesting none the less. We were in town anyway, otherwise probably wouldn't have spent the time to go.

Although a small art museum, we thought it was great. One can tour the entire building in about an hour and a half. They had 2 exhibits beyond their permanent collection. Both were enjoyable. We were also invited to see a 30 minute film on an artist with physical disabilities that was just fascinating. Well worth stopping in!
My friend and I stopped by the art museum to see the Bull's Eye Quilt Show. The quilts were colorful and impressive. Even though each one had the same theme(bull's 'eye quilts), they were extremely different from each other in color and design, modern and traditional. I liked how some were hung so you could see the back of the... 更多
This is an art museum I visit every year when I am on the west side of the state. Being small, it is family friendly. There is a captivating Edward Hopper painting in their permanent collection that should not be missed.

Small, well cared for and clearly well supported by the community. We always stop when are visiting. The touring or locally developed shows are very well done especially the Michigan Regional Show. The regular collection is small but well hung and informative. They have a glass gallery that is a nice side stop. This is clearly a museum that understands... 更多

This Museum isn't very large, but it contains some high quality pieces. In addition, they have rotating exhibits and an annual art exhibit from area schools. The building itself is beautiful, as it's made of marble. Definitely a little gem of Muskegon!
Thank you for your your review! The marble halls and entry are original to the building, which opened in 1912.... 更多
