We camp here every year fro 2 weeks, despite living 10 minutes away. It is a beautiful campground right on Muskegon Lake and Muskegon Channel, with access to Lake Michigan. We can leave our boat parked steps from our site. Best campground ever.
We arrived after dark and having never been here before got slightly disoriented in the campground. Quickly resolved and set up. The Lake Michigan campground is well designed with lots of trees but some sites are very unlevel and would be completely inappropriate for a trailer. Beware when booking. The park facilities were clean & well stocked with the required supplies. We stayed in mid October in mid week and found we had the park almost to our selves. Planning & research will help picking a good, well drained site. Over all we enjoyed our stay & would return again.
I loved camping at Muskegon State Park. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The camp host was friendly and very helpful, as were the park rangers.
