Such a cool nature park. They are located near the animal shelter and I'd encourage you to walk a little pupper when you visit. It'll make your hike a bit more exciting. See you on the trails!
I haven't been through the entire Nara Nature Park but I have walked on one of the trails and am happy to have "another" place in Houghton to walk. There are trails on both side of US 41. There is a place to park your car or bike and then walk the trails.
This is a very large system of trails running through and around Michigan Tech University in Houghton, Michigan. The trails are extremely well-maintained and beautiful. It's quiet and lovely. There's a stream/river running through the area, and you can walk right down to it and wade in areas where it's slower. Some of the vistas are simply breath-taking. There's also... 更多
This park is great for a stroll or a picnic. The boardwalk makes it very accessible. It is surpizingly extensive. You can see wetland plants and fish in Pilgrim Creek.
I was here to meet some local boy scouts to discuss forestry for their forestry badges and brought my kids. We walked on the nicely packed and groomed trails out to the sled hill. It was groomed and fast and fun for all the kids. The Nordic trails are expertly groomed, have nice scenery and terrain and link to the... 更多

Located right next to the animal shelter, this large, well marked trail system has miles of well groomed paths. There is a warming house with bathrooms and a good waxing area. There is a nice sledding... 更多
The boardwalks follow the pilgrim river through a marsh with lots of short trees and tall grasses. We came on a warm day in September and there weren't very many birds or much wildlife but had a wonderful time taking in the beauty of nature. If you want a quiet place to be and walk I would really recommend going.... 更多
One of our favorite locations for walking/bike riding. Its beautiful, quiet, and the trail is so well done. The kids feel like they're in a jungle. We love to stop and read the signs posted and visit the fishing spots to just sit and watch the toads and/or birds. Its a great gem.
The boardwalks and trails are very clean and well constructed. Nice views of water, forest, flora and fauna.Bring your shoes and/or bike and camera.
