The planetarium is impressive...state of the art facility. We had a group of 48 students and staff. They showed the show "Stars" narrated by Mark Hamil. It was very cool.
I know the planetarium has wonderful programs on a regular basis, but Monday, May 9, 2016 they went above and beyond. My friend and I went because we read that they would have telescopes with filters to view the transit of Mercury across the sun. Not many people took advantage so we were treated to personal service. I don't know how often they do it but they have some kickass laser light shows. If you can see one you might like it Laser Doors Beatles and many other's
Incredible films in super modern environment. Very comfortable reclining seats with masses of leg room. Really worth a visit for all age groups, don't pass this little treasure by. Very informative narrations. We will certainly be regulars.
This Planetarium just had a huge update and it is one of the finest in nation. It is educating and entertaining for family members of all ages. They often feature popular music laser shows.

The Longway Planetarium is one of my favorite places in Flint. The different shows are so interesting. I especially like the laser light shows set to some of my favorite music.
Always loved the planetarium. Now that I have the night sky of New Zealand to feast on the only thing that would make it better would be the seats at the Planetarium to sit back in and thrill at the evening sky!
