This was a nice trail. We stayed on the easier loop and did not go past the opening of the woods at the dunes. Dogs are allowed on the trail, but not allowed on the dunes. That was kind of a bummer for our group.
Run this trail often. There are a variety of loops, none too long, and all are relatively moderate to easy as far as difficulty. You can connect out to a remote beach at Lake Michigan as well. Worth the trip!
This is a 2.3 mile loop hike near the Platte River section of Sleeping Bear Dunes on M22. There are 2 loops. We did the outer loop - the Black Arrow. The Green Arrow is supposed to be flatter, goes through the center. There's a scenic lookout that you have to climb a dune to see. Then it's .2 miles... 更多
This trail is two square separate trails (short and longer). It has interesting enough flora to keep even a botanist interested but flat enough for even the physically challenged. The hardwood forest and ponds make it a quiet respite from the world. Lake Michigan is adjacent to the trail so a beach walk is an additional option. I highly recommend... 更多
