This is a little treasure in our town. They have different exhibit specials throughout the year and really try to engage children in different ways through their programming. Very appropriate for families with young children.
Big museums can overwhelm little visitors but Kingman Museum is just the right size for young elementary. I've been to several world-class museums, and this just isn't one of those, but if you're looking for an entertaining way to spend an hour or so, this is a decent way to do it. The museum looks a little smaller from the outside but when you enter it they are a good size from the inside and the have many many historic facts. really worth the time.
I grew up in this area so school trips were always happening to this museum. I love the planetarium shows, the large woolly mammoth, and all the other exhibits. It is located inside the Leila Arboretum which also has awesome grounds to explore. It is a great place for all ages.
A so, so attraction. We enjoyed the Kellogg Discovery Center much more!! It had an average planetarium show, a craft for the kids & the staff was friendly. We liked the museum building an d the e exhibits. When we visited, there was a scavenger hunt type activity for kid. That was interesting. We visited because we live nearby and it participate s in the ASC Reciprocity Agreement. It was reasonable.
