Very good historical venue which is a great location for wedding. Old but elegant venue is a must see...building. Loved carpeted wide stairs and artwork in third floor.
Mechanics Hall was saved from being demolished many years ago. Artists who have appeared here love the perfect acoustics of this magnificent hall. The best seat of the house is the center balcony at the top. Or so I heard when I had a tour of Mechanics Hall many years ago.
Musicians all love this venue--the acoustics are extraordinary and the size and architecture of this small, balconied hall makes every seat a good seat. Programming is varied but if you like the genre booked one night, this would be the place to enjoy a fine evening at much better prices than Boston. (And Dickens once lectured here, too! But if... 更多
This is a lovely place for any kind of event - they host concerts, weddings and graduation ceremonies here. The façade of the building is grand (both the back and the front of the building) -the interior - scrumptious- from their red carpeted stairs to the oil paintings adorning the walls. There are original ticket booths and lots of marble... 更多
We have been going to Mechanics Hall since the 1970's when we were young and carefree. Mechanic's Hall did not always look like it does now. Back in the 1970's we would go there to roller skate! The walls and ceilings were dingy. Now it has been magnificently restored. Seating is TIGHT! No mater whether you are in the red... 更多
I attended the Messiah performance last December and just recently a performance of Mozart's Requiem and Poulenc's Gloria at Mechanics Hall. The accoustics are superb and really there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. I highly recommend this venue for a live performance of any kind. Also, the parking availability is quite good in the area.
Extraordinary theater with many excellent community based and FREE concerts (the brown bag lunch is a real jewel) - handicapped access is above and beyond - beautifully restored interior
When you walk into Mechanics Hall, you see the history, you see the craftsmanship, and you hear the polished acoustics. Free brown bag concerts on Wednesdays, during summer.
I have been fortunate to play concerts here twice over the years. What a beautiful hall! The acoustics are fantastic and I hope to play here again someday.
