The purpose of the exhibits is primarily education - tracing the history of the Woods Hole scientific community while also highlighting the local marine habitat. This small gem is placed in a very special place. the first aquarium in the US and it is free. Make sure to go up stairs and see the top of the tanks. Take time to read the walls-very clear information about fish, the fishing industry and people who risked their lives. Make sure to see seal feedings.
