My wife and I visited this lighthouse during our honeymoon. The views are amazing. The nearby cliffs and oven can be seen. We walked to the lighthouse from the bus stop which was about 1.5 miles. The walk was very relaxed and plenty of beautiful scenery to see asking the way.
We rode our bikes 15.4 miles round trip to the light house. The light house was great, and in a beautiful area. I wish we could have gone inside though. Worth the journey!
This lighthouse is located on a golf course, so it is not open to the public. You can get very good pictures from the road however. Visiting this lighthouse requires either a bike or car since it is a couple miles away from the Main Street area.

As a lighthouse fan, I truly recommend a stop at Sankaty Head Lighthouse. It's a little tricky to find, but worth either the drive or bike ride or local tour. This is a landmark lighthouse that has been moved inland due to beach erosion. The town got together and helped move it. It is a lovely setting and we so enjoy taking our dog for a walk there.
The town of Sciasconset is beautiful in itself and houses this landmark lighthouse. Over the past decade or so Nantucket has experienced severe land erosion and many, many houses in Madaket and 'Sconset have been lost to the sea.
