We stopped into the library to get information on Mayflower ancestry. The woman at the desk was quite knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful building and gardens. We did not go into the main building but admired it from the driveway.
Wonderful location to downtown. Information and data is immense and remarkable. If you want to know about the "Founders" or see if you are related, this is your place.
Beautiful home!! The staff there was incredibly knowledgeable, very helpful, and answered all of our questions. As we are descended from one of the Pilgrims this home was a perfect place to visit. Also, no ropes keeping you out of rooms!!
If you are a member of the Mayflower, be sure to tell them -- members get a discount. Was also told that members can call and reserve overnight accomodations (for a fee of course), but don't know any more than that. It was a beautiful home and an interesting tour, but if you are looking for Mayflower pieces, it's better to go to the Pilgrim Hall Museum.

The house was not yet opened for tours but went into the library. My son is the 11th descendant of John Alden and was looking for further information. Got some great web site info and lineage groups to join for more information.
Good genealogical and historical library not really specific to Mayflower passengers. Helpful librarian and very low non-member library fee. Parking is limited, but space available the two times we have been there. One way streets and narrow driveway. The house is separate from the library and has little connection to the Pilgrims.
I was trying to do research on my 13th and 12th great grandparents who where on the Mayflower. Someone suggested I go to this place. The Society House and Library and two different buildings. I didn't make it in time to tour the Society House which probably would have been more helpful that the woman at the library. I guess... 更多
