A great beach for young families especially at lower tides. Kids love it. It is a lot of fun to walk the flats and check out the little crabs.
Come early to find a nice spot to watch the sunset and fireworks from town of Orlean for 7/4 celebration (actual date can vary year to year). Coming earlier is helpful to find a closer street parking with policemen around directing the traffic.
First time ever for a January sunset ... it was cold, however. Not like August. You will NEVER be disappointed !!! It's very popular at any time of the year ...just make sure you are in place well prior to sunset. Well worth any effort to get there.
When my husband and I went to Rock Harbor today to see the sunset, we were blocked by construction. Having caught an enticing glimpse of what was sure to be a spectacular sunset, we raced over to Skaket Beach (never exceeding the speed limit of course!) and caught one of the most exquisite sunsets I've ever seen. We've always enjoyed... 更多
A great place to bring your children. When the tide is out you can spend hours investigating the tidal pools. Little fish, hermit crabs ,etc. keep the little ones entertained for hours, even on a cloudy day. Great swimming too when the tide is in. There is also a great snack bar for lunch.
This is probably the best place to enjoy a cape sunset (I think it's better than Race Point). You have a great view of the sunset over Cape Cod Bay.
Love to take friends here on low tide to walk way out on the 'flats'. See all kinds of fish life, oyster beds and easy walking. Amazing for sunsets too.
This beach is great for children and all who want to float in warm water. It has the best sunsets. The snack bar, public rest rooms & easy parking make it easy to enjoy.
