Love this beach near the steam authority port for its peaceful waves and great view of ships sailing by. Water is clear and seaweed free this year. There's no lifeguard on duty. There is a new entrance with stairs but I miss the rustic path that is now blocked for safety reasons. Families camp here and walk to nearby restrooms... 更多
I really enjoyed this beach. I think it's particularly appropriate if you have young children as it's very calm and stays pretty shallow with soft sand, which also contributes to relatively warmer water. You can walk from Oak Bluffs but since I had a 1 yr old we often drove and found parking pretty easily on the road above... particularly... 更多
We enjoyed our time at the beach. It wasn't overly crowded and we always rent a house where we can walk to the beach or to Circuit Ave. Sun and shells.
This beach was a little disappointing as there was very little sand and was mostly stones. It was very hard to walk and the ramps were a little far apart. Also, we spotted several sharks not too far from shore.
Martha's Vineyard was definitely on my list of things to see. We are very glad we went. I found it difficult to organize and plan our visit from home.
