We have been to the Iron Horse twice, both times to see The High Kings Irish band. The food was good and reasonably priced, seating was comfortable and cozy and the staff was very efficient and pleasant. The line to get in moves quickly and the band was really fantastic. Would definitely go again.
Intimate music venue with excellent sound. We read the reviews and got in line for entrance early at 4:45. We were ushered in at 5:30, promptly got our tickets (have your ID ready). We got a front row table and had a fantastic waitress who took great care of us. The food was decent. The room has great sound. The... 更多
I like the iron horse and have seen a good 15+ shows in this venue. What I like is that it is on the smaller size so you can actually see the band that is playing. This past time the tables in front of the stage where removed so that it did not feel as small and there was a... 更多
First, the good: We love the varied performers who play at this venue. Sometimes we just come and see someone we've never heard of - and it's always enjoyable. Our last trip to IH was to see James Montgomery Band. Excellent, excellent. Now the bad: the food is mediocre at best. My husband refuses to eat here. The dilemma is:... 更多
During my latest trip to Iron Horse, I was more than frustrated with my experience there. We bought tickets 3 months prior for a blues show. Once we arrived we realized "general admission" was standing room only behind the stairs next to the bar. We could only see the stage thru the steps of the stairs and people were sitting... 更多
The Iron Horse has lasted when so many other local venues came and went. The music is eclectic, so I can only speak to the times I went starting in the 80s, and after moving back to the area mid-aughts. Having the chance to see the late Doc Watson, Willie Dixon Bill Morrissey remain some of my greatest musical memories.... 更多
From the outside of the building it looks like it could be closed down, there are fliers pasted all over the windows. You walk in and it is a cool building with lots of wood and an upper level overlook. It is restaurant style with large tables and some smaller ones. The food was excellent. It gets busy in there,... 更多
Over the last 30 + years, I have attended concerts at the Iron Horse. The place is wonderful for an intimate experience with musicians;however the food is awful. The drinks are okay; the wine list is horrible. Try to eat before the concert at an array of great downtown restaurants. Have seen/heard Solas there many times. This was their 20th... 更多
Given it was Judy Collins, the artist we saw was still in her prime (bless)--but it was a surprise to have our waitress come up to ask for our order with stoned eyes and an inability to focus. It took one hour for her to bring us two beers and one glass of wine. She forgot the tea, but went... 更多
Great venue for both top local musicians and touring musicians to play. It is an intimate scene...close up and personal. The pub food is average but the music, whether folk, rock, jazz, singer song writer etc. is worth the trip. Another Northampton gem!
