We didn't have as much time as we would have liked in this park! Make sure to leave at least half a day! We went to both visitors centers - in one, there was a multi media show about the area and the history. In the other part of the park, there was a statue of a Minute Man, ranger... 更多
I have walked Battle Road twice and it never fails to impress. If you are looking for a walk that can last 20 minutes to 6 hours with awesome history thrown in- this is it. The nature is beautiful and you can walk or bike it with friends or alone without worry. I encourage you to make sure you are... 更多
This is a well managed park with about 5 different parking lots, so you can stop and look at the sites and walk the Battle Trail. Two of the car parks have toilets. There are information boards which point out places of interest, but it is worth getting a leaflet from the Minute Men Visitor Centre to get more detail.
This is an interesting area with the emphasis on history. Don't miss the video in the Visitors' Center as it will provide context for the surrounding areas.
Not being one to hike (especially in the summer heat) we drove and stopped at most of the Minuteman park's sites. The short videos in both the North visitor center and the one in Lincoln (near Concord) are great and should definitely be done first before visiting any of the other sites. There's no A/C in the Lincoln visitor center... 更多
Plan to spend at least one full day. You can start at the beginning, the first shot of the revolution, and work your way through to the North Bridge in Concord. There are clear pathways for those who choose to walk the entire park, or you can visit a site or two then move your car to another lot to... 更多
The Battle Road Trail is a great walk through history. The multimedia presentation at the Lexington/Lincoln Visitor Center is inside a small theater on a stage set and is well-done. Recommend viewing it prior to heading out on the trail, it runs every half hour, last one at 4:30 pm. The exhibits just outside the theater are also great. Restrooms... 更多
Traveling the Battle Trail is something everyone needs to do. This is the forgotten part of the story of April 19, 1775. The continual harassment of the British set us on the road to revolution. There is lots of foot and bike traffic on the path, but it has an easy grade. See the movie at the visitor center! The... 更多
We visited the park for the first time on August 1st, 2015 for the Battle Road Tail Walk Tour. The Ranger was very informative. It was a pleasant long walk. My nine year old never mentioned to be bored during the tour. It was very nice of one of the Rangers to arrange for my elder sister to be picked... 更多
