When people are new to the Greenfield area, one of the first places I take them is Poet's Seat Tower. Stroll or drive to the tower's base and climb to the second or third level and feast your eyes on the panorama that unfolds below. Greenfield sits in a protected bowl. The Berkshires rise on the west edge of town;... 更多
This stone tower had existed for nearly a century. It's easy to access with a simple drive and plenty of free parking at the tower. It's not handicapped accessible. There are several flights of cement stairs and each plateau offers a nice view of town. There is a fun metal spiral staircase that leads to the very top. There you... 更多
Poet's site Tower is a great place to sit and contemplate the beauty of the region. I like to go alone, contemplate and think about life ... Worth at least a quick visit.
I cycled up during a bicycle tour of the Deerfield Valley. The views are outstanding and the general vibe, pleasant. There was some littler but generally clean. I give it 5 stars because the cycle up was challenging and the view was well worth it. I understand that hiking trails in the area are also worthwhile.
The view from Poet's Seat is spectacular and it is always fun to pick out your favorite buildings and streets. The top level is spacious enough so that one does not feel scared and the walls are thick enough to provide a safe and secure place to lean those arms while you gaze around. No handicap access and one needs... 更多
on the eastern side of Greenfield in a park bordering the Connecticut River. The tower overlooks the town, and there is a nice view. if you are shun-piking around the area, especially if heading to see the dam at Turner's Falls, stop by the tower

The expansive scenic views from the parking area and the tower are excellent and worth the detour to come here. My visit during was October foliage season so the Mother Nature’s colorful... 更多
Up high above the tree line of Greenfield sets Poet Seat Tower. Little off the beaten path but once the on a clear day you can see for miles each way down the pioneer valley of Massachusetts. Lots of history - little forgotten as far as upkeep, but worth a visit if your in the area.
