This spot is within walking distance of Main Street, but it is a world away from the bustle. The pond and its surroundings (the park, Sachem's Head, the trail) provide a welcome respite from the norm. Each season provides a different experience, but always a calming one.
This is a beautiful area with many fairly level hiking trails with some mild elevation.
Frequently used by dog walkers and for recreation. Free all year availability for hiking and during the winter for informal snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
The pond was originally used for ice skating and may be set up for that in the future..
