Main Street Gloucester is a quaint and nicely kept little town with nice restaurants and shops. This was a town I would truly recommend stopping and spending the night, go to a nice restaurant and spend the night at the Manor Inn Bed and Breakfast. Be sure to go on a whale watch excursion.
whilst in Gloucester you cant fail to take a walk along Main Street , some really nice shops selling local artists wares , glass , ceramics, paintings . we visited several times a small coffee shop that had 2 tables outside that seated 4 people in total ,had some nice coffee there . Nice places to eat also .
So many places to go on Main Street, shops and eateries. So nice to shop where there are no BIG BOX stores and many franchise restaurants. The town is so full of wonderful and friendly locals!!!
Main Street in Gloucester is a great place to walk around with friends. I love all the cozy restaurants and stores right in the downtown area. They have a lot of fun events like the Bazaar and the Block Parties.
Worth walking up and down especially if it's a beautiful day and you love great architecture! The shops are interesting to visit as well. Take a nice enjoyable afternoon walk.
Great for window shopping, shopping, eating,.... lovely! We stopped in a bookstore that was not open in the evening and there was a pile of Vinyl records--a sign said take as many as 5 --so we did. Fun!
Stopped in Gloucester on my way back from Salem. Lovely one of a kind shops. Walked down to the water front ( easy parking) to see the Fisherman Memorial. Even thought the weather was rainy, it's still a beautiful walk, very relaxing. Few places for lunch, no crowds, small new England village feel. Stop by- it's worth a visit
A wide array of shops to stop in and look through. We found quite a few empty store fronts. If you are looking for something different for lunch there is a diverse selection.
