Although all the vegetation is dormant and no sign of animal activity this time of year, taking our first walk through the sanctuary was a nice relaxing experience. Trails are in good shape and well marked. We look forward to returning to see it in its spring glory.
Maybe it's off-season for Holly, and to be honest we didn't try to walk the entire Sanctuary, but pretty much all we saw was an awful lot of those terrible thorn bushes and some vine that was overtaking everything. My husband and I spent an hour walking the trails here in early April. There are so many cool holly trees, which we don't see too often. Very peaceful spot.
My wife and I hiked the trails in this sanctuary. We were alone on the day we explored the place.
