this place is a gem whether the herring are running or not. just be careful crossing the road because cars sometimes do not slow down
We went as 3 adults and a 3 year old when it was closed after the herring fish were done running and still enjoyed it. The sound of the water...the fragrance of the flora ... the calm beauty of minnows and bass basking in the warm sunlite pools was so soul-nuturing. Free and worth the trip. Please note - trails... 更多
The museum was closed but it was fun to hike the grounds and follow the mill stream as it winds it way towards the bay. We picked up a few small sticks from the ground and placed them in the stream and cheered them on as they raced downward.

If you are as patient as the seagulls are, you may be rewarded by one catching and eating a herring. Real fun to... 更多
