I went running through the entire park and it was beautiful. Very high quality trails, lots of beaches on fresh water lakes. Amazing water clarity. I for one do not like to swim where i cant see what I'm walking on or into. High quality Beaches with white sand.
Cliff pond is one of the largest freshwater ponds in Nickerson State park. You can park close to it and hike or canoe in the lake. Most people come here to have a stroll along the lake bank. Park has tons of hiking trails. We were there in November when the camp ground was closed. Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a nice, relaxing walk on easy to cover trails.

We love camping at Nickerson. There is so much to do there. We went out on Flax pond on paddle boards we rented there (it was a bit to pricey, so next time we will try somewhere else). There is hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, bird watching, something for everyone.
It always delivers. Beautiful setting in the woods, clear ponds with nice sandy beaches. Very good location. Only con: very difficult to book a campsite.
First time camping at Nickerson. Had no idea so big. Great for biking, trails everywhere. Crystal clear swimming kayaking ponds. The only thing they need is electrical sites! Extremely hot and humid last week when we were there in our camper!
