If you are a photographer, this is the bay beach you should come. With a large area of salt mash on one side, and racks of sea kayaks on the other, you got a lot of colors and background to play with. Not sure if you can actually rent these kayaks though.
This is a great area for families with kids in ages young to early teens. There's lots of crabbing, walking, playing around in the water. A nice area as an alternative to the beach.
After reading other reviews I was excited to see the Brewster flats and float along in a tube in this natural "Lazy River." I didn't realize they were mutually exclusive of one another! What I love about Paine's Creek is there isn't much there. Peaceful blend of marsh and sand. Grab ice cream at Kate's come down and enjoy one of the best spots for Sunset anywhere. Believe me I've see a few, Hawaii,Costa Rica, Captiva, California just to name a few.
Lovely up-close-and-personal place to sit in one of the very few parking places and see marsh area, bay and people interacting. Have seen kayaks mounted on racks but don't know specifics. Would not use this beach if I wanted to swim and sunbathe. Parking is just way too unpredictable.
Paines Creek is a beautiful, peaceful place where you can sit and contemplate, be alone in your thoughts or watch and appreciate the natural wonders year round! It is my private sanctuary, I walk through the beach or on the flats depending on the time of day and regain my inner peace...
