Lots of good photo stops if you are into photography! Scenic drive just a few miles down the road from St. Michaels.
Tilghman Island is just a few hours from the hustle of the city but it's worth the trip. Slow down and relax along the shore, and while you're visiting, look at the historic skipjack boats. Visit the Tilghman Country Store and Tilghman Museum that features a lot of cool model boats and history of the island's watermen. Oysters!
Tilghman is a great area for biking, kayaking and enjoying nature. Don't miss Phillips Wharf Environmental Center - its free! There are several restaurants nearby that offer excellent seafood as well. There is also Tilghman Waterman's museum. Nearby is the eponymous environmental restoration project "Poplar Island" or the Paul Sarbanes project, managed by Maryland Environmental Services.

If you like a calm, quiet, beautiful location where even the rain isn't offensive, head to Tilghman, my aunt and uncle live down at the bottom of the island and it aches me to leave every time we head out there.
Nice sleepy down jus east of st Michael's. Nice to get there at sunset to see the sun go down. Endless views of where eastern bay dumps into the chesapeake bay. Leave 20 mins if you are leaving from st michaels
