This is a small state park with a lovely shaded walk among virgin hemlock and white pine trees. I enjoyed all the spring wildflowers, but the mountain laurel is just in bud. There are lots of steps down to the waterfalls from the main path. You will see may down trees due to heavy snow fall. There were some teens... 更多
The virgin hemlock and white pine trees (some estimated to be 300+ years old) give a marvelous feeling to the walk. There are several falls with Swallow Falls being the most dramatic and very viewable ... you can walk to the on the top shelf to where the water tumble over ... but walk carefully or you will tumble over!
Four waterfalls in a little more than a mile. The largest at 63 feet is actually wheelchair Accessible. You have to drive a van park by boardwalk. But the hike is fairly easy and well maintained. The park is best seen in spring with wildflowers. But fall or a day after rain will make waterfalls with the stop. The hike... 更多
This is a great place to hike and play in the water. Wear good shoes, you can be as adventurous as you like or just stick to the trail... 更多
This hike is easy for the average person. The trail to the falls was about 1.5 miles. We went the opposite way of what others advised (turning right at the fork in the trail) and enjoyed the build up from the smallest falls to the largest. Beautiful trail.

A must stop if you come to the Deep Creek Lake area. Better in the summer when you can swim, but always a nice visit.

When you park go left of the parking area to the first falls and take the train down around to the other two falls. Walking down the slippery path is... 更多
