We went on a Sunday and had the place pretty much to ourselves. The visitor's center was closed but the parking lot and trails were all open. Excellent physical activity for an hour or two.
I have been at SERC a couple of times, in 2014. There are three short walking trails. One takes you over wetlands and along the banks of the Rhodes River.
