I won't repeat the other glowing reviews of Francoise's tour - I agree whole-heatedly. The tour is a full-on, full day tour with constant information covering bio-geography, geology, natural and human history. I lapped it up! I would go back to camp in one of the many great little sites, and perhaps even hire one of the "tree=tents". Check them... 更多
I spent a fascinating day in this national park in July. I had read reviews on Tripadvisor from people who had rented a car for the day saying that they had been disappointed, and I might have felt the same had I gone the same way (although the scenery is majestic) but if you go with someone who can tell... 更多
Hired a car and stumbled on it by accident. Needed food and thought we'd get it in Yate - not a hope so take a picnic! A great out doors place, good for mountain biking or casual biking, kayaking, hiking, etc. Great views and scenery, plus a bus tour to a 1000 year old tree and a chance to see... 更多
The road from Nouméa to the Blue River National Park is a great road with smooth surface. Probably just resurfaced. But there is no centre line which some getting used to when you normally drive on the left side of the road. It is about 80km from Nouméa. There is no petrol for sale on the road once out of... 更多
We hired a car for the day and headed off for the day to the park. Route SP3 has a few turns in it and took about 1.5 hrs from Noumea. We took the shuttle tour option (with 3 girls between 8-14) but you could have hired bikes or trekked around the park. Their is no self drive options in... 更多
We visited the park last week with a guide called Francios Tran, mobile phone +687 786838, but from Noumea just use the last 6 numbers. Right from the prompt hotel pick-up, he didn't hardly stop for breath, and spoke in Japanese as well as perfect English. His knowledge of the geography, geology, and natural history, of New Caledonia is amazing.... 更多
After a long 90 minute drive from Noumea we were very disappointed. The park is a treeless valley with dusty red soil and eroded hillsides. The occasional sprig of rainforest was not enough to justify the trip. The usual unfriendly service from tourist providers didn't make the visit any better.
•you need time there the park closes at 4.30 so think about it! Go early! •rent a bike and canoe with sud loisir (book in advance! Ok for non sporty people, a minimum of fitness i guess!) •safe parking as people need to pay to enter the parc! •if you dont want to ride a bike there are many walks... 更多
After travelling for about an hour in our rental car we found this newish National Park. It is up on a plateau and has a big lake and river. We rented Mt Bikes and rode for 2 hours seeing a variety of landscapes. Red earth and tropical forest as well as Le Gargou their National, flightless bird. We were lucky... 更多
The park has some nice views and walks and great picnic spots. The road there has some very poor sections. There is a terrible pot hole section of about ten to fifteen kilometres in length just after the Yate turn off.
