Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge Complex manages 49 offshore islands and five National Wildlife Refuges: Petit Manan, Cross Island, Franklin Island, Seal Island, and Pond Island. This is a lovely spot at the end of Maine street. It is very specialized and focused only on coastal birds. No one else was there when I stopped in. They do offer programs (films and lecturers) on other topics that are popular, such as whales and nature preserves.
