Whether you like beer or not this is an interesting tour. The staff is very nice and informative and its located within walking distance of the old port.
We went to the tasting room, which is right behind the brewery shop. You get your own flight board and write in chalk which beers you want in the flight. We went on a snowy day so it wasn't crowded but there seemed to be a lot of tables which is good.
Our English friends had come to the states to visit. A day in Freeport is always on their list, especially at Christmas. Their daughter Georgina, had wanted to visit some breweries, so on our return home, I remembered Shipyard. It was perfect! The 5 of us ordered 4 flights and proceeded to be true tasters. We were completely relaxed and... 更多
Visit this Brewery every year to sample the new beers. Was very disappointed to find out that they charge for beer samples. It used to be free samples, 1 pour per tap, now they charge you $6 for a flight or $4 for a glass. Still reasonable prices, gift shop also has many interesting items to pick up. Always packed,... 更多
Shipyard Brewery was a recommended stop on our Foodie tour of Portland. From the moment we stepped into the building I could tell this was a very creative group of people. Believe it or not, Pumpkin beer was one of my favorites! If you're into craft beers try this place out.
Unique tasting experience with 4 glasses and a chalkboard:) you get to write in which beers you want to taste. Tastings are $4 for 4 beers. Reasonably priced. Knowledgeable bartenders. Good selection. Ample seating. They also have a store where you can buy beer to take back to where you are staying if you like something. A good place to... 更多
We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. They had lots of seating so we didn't wait long for a seat. My husband enjoyed a flight, and I enjoyed a Pumpkinhead on draft!
