Our tour of the island was filled with history and fun facts about the island. Our tour guide, Jo was willing to answer TONS of questions and redirect the tour as people went. The tour company can make tours fit your time budget. Very cool.
We had reservations for an Island tour. I'm so glad that we did. Our guide was a local who knew so much about the island. Taking the golf cart tour was great because it was able to go on all roads and places that cars could not go. Also, having a local explain history and show us places we would... 更多
This it the best way to learn about Peaks Island, and get a historical perspective on the Island's culture, development, and inhabitants. Touring in a gold cart enables you to cover terrain that is more challenging in other vehicles as well as providing a close look at the landmarks and shoreline. Groups are small (6) which allows for personal interaction... 更多
This tour is the best thing you can do on Peaks Island. It was so much more interesting with our guide Jon Keslo. He told us the story of the island and answered our many questions about it's history. I would recommend this to anyone going there :)
We decided on taking this tour rather than renting our own golf cart and riding around on our own. We are so glad that we did! Our tour guide (Kim) was SO informative....we learned so much that we never would have known on our own. She talked non-stop for the entire time.....very clearly and also answered all of our questions.... 更多
Currently visiting Portland, Maine for a few days and decided to spend part of our first full day visiting Peaks Island. Peaks Island is 15 minutes by ferry from Portland. It is a nice, quiet (in September apparently), small little town. As soon as we disembarked from the ferry there was a kind gentleman giving a brief speech about a... 更多
With a group of friends, all Mainers, I took this tour of Peaks Island recently. Booking was easy---- we were a large party and 2 vehicles and guides were quicky arranged. The vehicles, extended golf carts, were easy to get in and out of and comfortable. It was a foggy ride over on the ferry and the fog stayed with... 更多
An excellent way to discover Peaks Island. The tour was via golf cart; comfortable enough. The tour guide, a local, was thorough, and related many side stories about the island and it's history. Worth it!
... than be by a local herself. Val was a great tour guide and to hear of here connection to the Island and the generations that came before her was fascinating. You could not get more of a tour of the island any other way. I am sure had we tried to do it our self via car, bike, or... 更多
This was our second trip visiting Peaks Island, but our first time on a guided tour. Marissa was our tour guide, (and the owner). Marissa was fabulous! She took her time showing us the island, and shared lots of local stories. She was very good with my kids, including them in the discussions. She stopped for lots of photo opportunities,... 更多
