We stayed next store at the Waldo Emerson house so just walked next store after breakfast. The architecture is amazing. There is some delayed maintenance but we're told an older man lives there alone. Definitely worth a drive by or stop. Got some wonderful pictures.
This huge home is the most Victorian house I've ever seen. You have to stop to take photos as it's virtually impossible to describe. It's easy to park along the road, and you can take all the photos you want. I can't even imagine how much work must go into painting this home! Hope this information helps you.
Without a doubt the most ornately designed victorian home we have ever seen..Built as a wedding present, the theme of love abounds, even down to the "X&O" patterned white fence out front! Look for it right on route one in Kennebunk and stop for a photo...and enjoy the delighful architectural details!
You can stop along Rt. 35 and take all the pics you want of this home that looks like a cake there are many stories as to why it is the way it is but there is a plaque across the street telling the story Check it out.
I am not sure why this is even on here. It may have been some sort of historical house but it's not worth seeing. The paint is peeling. This house is rotting away in front of your eyes. I know it's expensive to fix rotting boards and paint but please take this off a sight to see in kennebunk. Nothing... 更多

Bourne in 1825. He was impressed with the Gothic beauty of the cathedral in Milan. When he returned home, he added buttresses with pinnacles and... 更多
The area where this house is situated is just about adjacent to the Kennebunk River in an area known as "The Landing." Ships were once built in this area and this lovely home was owned by a ship captain. While having fallen into disrepair a bit it's still pretty to gaze upon and worth 5 minutes. Farther north on Summer Street... 更多
While it was fun to see this interesting house as we passed it along our journey, I wouldn't make a special trip. I didn't see anywhere to park (although I might have missed it) and the house really needs some paint and repairs. I recommend you spend your time someplace else.
We drove past this house on the way out of town. It's a cool looking house but its better days are behind it. Desperately needs some TLC. And paint. Can't go inside. You can only look at it from the road.
