While it was fun to see this interesting house as we passed it along our journey, I wouldn't make a special trip. I didn't see anywhere to park (although I might have missed it) and the house really needs some paint and repairs. I recommend you spend your time someplace else.
We drove past this house on the way out of town. It's a cool looking house but its better days are behind it. Desperately needs some TLC. And paint. Can't go inside. You can only look at it from the road.
I went to visit the Wedding Cake House because it was listed as a much photographed property. There was nowhere to park and was in need of repair. You would need to be very interested in architecture to make a special detour.

This ornate house (somewhat needing paint) is worth a quick stop IF you are in the area. Be careful when taking pics as traffic is heavy and fast.
House is beautiful -- but definitely in need of some TLC (which I'm assuming will cost ALOT of $$!). Its always worth a drive by when in the Kennebunk area. I would love to see inside/tour the house as I assume it would be a glimpse at a previous era of old money, ballrooms, summer homes near the ocean, etc.... 更多
