We stopped in today, partly to wait for our ferry on a chilly and drizzly afternoon. We could have stayed much longer. Our three boys-8,9 and 11- all had a great time as did both of us. We learned a lot from the presentation on lobstering. We had ridden our bikes around the island before we went. It's kind of... 更多
Wonderful and informative! Park Ranger was helpful and full of local information. Love local museums and this one included many of the local fisher/lobsterman on their displays/videos. Books and maps available for purchase. A must visit on Islesford (Little Cranberry) Island.
We stopped at Islesford aka Little Cranberry Island on the Sea Princess cruise. I thought this museum was well done with old pictures and some artifacts from life on the island. It didn't take a long time to go through it but I enjoyed it.
This museum has been refurbished and its collection expanded since our first visit some years ago, The lobstering exhibit and longer film on the 2nd floor is worthy of an hour or more itself. But it you take the Sea Princess you may only have about that much time to spend on tge usland. If you want to do everything... 更多
We enjoyed the Boats and Buoys exhibit. The exhibit describes the lobstering industry on Little Cranberry Island and the families who have lived here for generations. Well worth the trip over on the mail boat.

The museum gives you a good introductory feel for that. When I visited this summer, there was an exhibit on... 更多
Our family visited the Islesford Museum during a short day trip to the island. The exhibits looked new and were very interesting, but were housed in a historic building. My boys (10, 7 and 3) got sucked into the video about the Islesford Lobster Industry. It was really informative. Later we sat on the docks and watched the lobster boats... 更多
