I happened to stop at the Irving gas station across from the Hollywood Casino, and there was the 31-foot statue of Paul Bunyon in Bass Park. We rode there with the intention of getting a few quick pictures - but it was even lame looking from the car - so didn't stop. It was in a wierd spot (by some sort of corporate building - I think I was expecting a park or something). Don't go out of your way to find it.

Always fun to stop by and have a photo taken with Paul Bunyon! The statue is mammoth and in surprisingly good shape! It does appear to be a bit out of place as it is now in area that is quite commercialized! Fun to see though!
...we found him and drove by. Didn't stop the car (it wasn't obvious where to park) and we were on a busy street. They were getting the convention center ready for a Trump Rally so we didn't linger, but I feel like out visit wouldn't have been complete without waving "hi" to the big fella.
