Well worth a visit as it is in the centre of the village. The views across the Forth are stunning especially in good weather. The artifacts inside the museum are very interesting and takes you back into history. With the near completion of the 2nd road bridge, there is a lot more to see and do. There is the opportunity... 更多
It's FREE and there is a lot to see. Housed in an old building adjacent to the beach where all the local Registrar weddings are held.
We stopped here as part of our Forth Bridges tour and thoroughly enjoyed the information on display. The history of the original bridge construction and the photographs and our guide's narrative were all very interesting and gave us a greater appreciation for what was accomplished under trying conditions. A bonus was encountering a wedding party all decked out in their... 更多
this wee museum is a wee gem, filled with local history all very interesting. it is very small and really couldn't spend more than half hour in there, but it is free and worth a look.
This is a quirky little museum above the local registrars office (where a couple got married while we were there ) Interesting local history including lots about the Forth Bridge. Admission is free. The exhibit is currently housed in four rooms but a notice says improvements are being made...
The museum may appear to be small, but the rich history of Queensferry is well documented and nicely presented. I found the historical representation of the war and that of the bridge engaging!
Great informative wee place only thing is it is very hot and upstairs so not very good for buggys or if you're in a wheelchair also not aloud to leave the buggys downstairs due to weddings lots of things to see also have some things for the kids
The staff could not have been helpful, aloud to see old council transcripts . so able to get a lot of helpful information
We came across this museum by accident following an aborted visit to Hopetoun House (It was closed for the winter). It is in a building housing the Registrars office and we had to ring the bell to be admitted. First of all we had a look at the wedding area and what a wonderful backdrop for a wedding it is... 更多
We were directed to this museum by some locals and were glad they pointed it out. Our two young grandkids, 5 and 7, especially enjoyed Burry Man. Lots of interesting info about the town and the history.
