Amazing place. Certainly swamp land so we applaud the people who chose to settle, build and live there. It was raining our visit which reinforced even more what must have been a hard life and not conducive to good health either. Amongst a large number of amusingly posed old alligators I was quite terrified I'd see a live one. The... 更多
Cradled within a segment of land among the traditional Louisiana mossy oak trees ~ rests a cluster of well preserved wood framed buildings that will welcome you to TRUE Cajun history. Visionaries, Don and Beth, a married power couple ~ are inspired to preserve Cajun tradition by maintaining a store that has an abundance of clothing that includes "Authentic" LSU... 更多
The Cajun Village may be one of the most interesting attractions on the I10 drive across South Louisiana. Just a quarter mile off the interstate at Hwy 22, the Village consists of old Cajun style houses and stores moved in from the country. Each building provides a unique experience including dining, shopping, and even B & B cottages. The grounds... 更多
I have been here many times with my family but, I will not go back. I was totally frustrated with the manager. I placed order for 2 club sandwiches and 2 orders of beignets to go. After 20 minutes I inquired about my order. The young lady at the register asked what I ordered. When I told her the manager... 更多
This place is a nice little gem in small area. Great gift shops in historic buildings as well as small café that serves breakfast and lunch. The Beignets and Café Au Let are my favorite. My daughter loves this place.
Save your time and money. Beignets are too doughy. Nothing like Cafe du Monde beignets. Other food is horrible as well. Souvenir stores are full of cheaply made, overpriced junk. Just a toursit bus stop-nothing more.
Only local place that serves New Orleans style beignets. It is nice to have a place to eat while shopping at the many little shops on the premises. Shops are good for local artifacts. We always take guests there. Shops seem to change frequently, so there is always something new.
A number of unique businesses nestled along the highway. Antique store was a true gem, staff so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast inexpensive and quick, down home cooking!
The Cajun Village is a collection of small Acadian style houses that hold gift shops selling Cajun oriented goods, pottery, candles, wine, t-shirts, etc. There is The Coffee Shop where you can have a quick bite and cottages that offer bed and breakfast lodging.
