Went over the weekend with friends and happened to be there for the Meat Pie Festival. The historic shopping district was nice and many stores had lovely fall decor. Stopped in several shops during our 3 day visit. Like others have said, the stores do not stay open late, so if you see something you like, buy it! The shop... 更多
Recently walked thru the historic district. We stopped in a chocolate store where they sell edible arrangements and chocolate covered strawberries. We had some strawberries which were yummy. Saw one of the arrangements which was beautiful. The people at the store were very helpful and friendly.
Sadly for a town that thrives on tourism, it's ridiculous that ALL shops aren't open on Sundays and Holidays. It is gettinf a bit better but even when there are events going on, most shops close at 5 and never open on Sundays. Shopping tip: Check out our Stage Store on South Drive. Best one in the State. Very nice... 更多
District is deceiving, few shops & even fewer open before 10 am or after 3 pm. Posted opening & closing times on establishments mean nothing. You would think stores would stay open late & be open on holiday weekend to make money from sales to tourist, not so. If you have a couple hours to kill good place to stop... 更多
We love spending the night @ the Fairfield Inn and Suites when we travel from Pensacola to Dallas for a family visit. The downtown area is fun to visit with charming shops, bakeries, Southern food restaurants and informative locals. The town comes alive for the holidays (especially Christmas and the 4th of July). Parades, the river is decorated with lights... 更多

Good collectible and holiday knick knacks at Southern Necessities. Gifts Galore and More had a large variety of things to look at. Bought a signed Devotional from Plantation Treasures. The author did a book signing there.... 更多

Parking on the main street is challenging but there is a parking lot just a couple of blocks away. There is variety of clothing, eating, and souvenir shops. The cane river runs along this area... 更多
We took our 13 year old there and he had a great time. He loved the food, ice cream, gadgets, etc AND we are both history teachers, so we kept his interest up, but if you have a fidgety, hard to distract teenager, plan on missing several shops. If you are with your sweetie or a group of friends, it... 更多
