What a terrific display they had for Christmas! The church was complete lighted, every inch. All the houses had a different theme and so well done. As an out-of-town guest for the holidays, this was a nice place to get in the Christmas spirit.
Lafayette has done a wonderful job preserving this depiction of the Acadian history. The houses and other buildings make you feel like you are back in time. We went to see the lights for christmas and I was disappointed that it was a short walk around and you could not actually go in the houses. We came to Lafayette to see the lights at Acadian Village. They were beautiful and the settings at each were very enjoyable. I would recommend pricing the rides for the children individually instead of as a package.

While we were on the Music & Heritage of the Deep South Fully Escorted Group Tour (Nashville, Memphis & New Orleans) we stopped in Lafayette and visited the Acadian Village. This was the best thing about Layayette.
